The process of itinerary planning, Honeymoon budgeting and navigating unfamiliar destinations is overwhelming. As a consequence, romance ends up taking a back seat. This is perfect solution- take the backseat- literally! Let us plan everything, book the hotels, and do all the driving. We will show you the sights and wonders, but give you plenty of private time together as well.
We will welcome you at the airport in Casablanca, and invite you to visit Casablanca. Pose at the famous “Rick’s Cafe” from the movie of the same name, and after we will visit the Hassan II Mosque. This is the largest mosque in the kingdom and the fifth largest mosque in the world! Then we can drive to Rabat City where we will see the nesting storks of the ancient Chellah in Rabat, or take a stroll on a beach, wading in the Atlantic Ocean all afternoon long. We will spend the night in a beautiful Riad, breakfast included.
After breakfast, travel to the charming Blue City of Chefchaouen, nestled in the beautiful Rif Mountains. Famous for its blue-painted streets and traditional Moorish architecture, this peaceful town is one of Morocco’s most romantic destinations. Along the way, enjoy scenic mountain landscapes and optional stops for photos.
Spend your free time exploring the colorful medina, local markets, and artisan shops, or simply relax and soak up the tranquil atmosphere. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night in a beautiful riad with breakfast and dinner included.
On our drive to Morocco’s most ancient city, Fez, we will stop at the best preserved Roman ruins in Morocco : Volubolis. Founded in the 3rd century B.C, it became an important outpost of the Roman Empire and was graced with many fine buildings, mosaics, columns and statues.
It is a Unesco World Heritage Site for being “an exceptionally well preserved example of a large Roman colonial town on the fringes of the Empire.” After we will drive to Meknes and see el Hadim square, Bab El Mansour, and the massive gate which is the entrance to the old city and the Jewish Quarter. Afterwards we will drive to Fez, and spend the night In Fez.
The drive from Fez to the Midelt is anything but arid. Some tourists are amazed to find rolling green hills filled with large forests deep in the mountains. You can experience the romance of Switzerland here, in the middle of Morocco. With a french quarter and a Alpine climate, this area has a very European feel. You can see photos of chalets and ski slopes– Morocco is full of surprises. We’ll spend the night in Midelt after stopping to meet the Berber monkeys of Ifran, and any hikes and photo ops you’d like along the way.
After breakfast we will drive to Sahara Desert Merzouga passing from Tizzi Ntalghomt and mountain roads overlooking the wide flowing Oued Ziz the Oasis and Kasbahs and palm groves.
We pass through the adobe colored city of Er-Rachidia and arrive in the late afternoon to Merzouga, the village on the outskirts of the desert.
Later in the afternoon, we will meet your camels to begin your journey to take you across the desert.
You will feel the magic of the desert and as the sun begins to set, the dunes light up, giving you a chance to take some stunning photographs! After you arrive at the camp, you can try sandboarding.
That evening, you will eat a delicious desert dinner and then enjoy the traditional drums and singing. Overnight in a desert camp in the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
During Spring the whole region is covered with aromatic pink roses. However, even if you visit during another season this fertile area is green with palms and flourishes of lush green surrounded by rolling mountains.
We pass also through the Dades Valley, a spectacular canyon on the edge of the high Atlas Mountains. Take a private hike in the gorge with some careful rock climbing for spectacular views of the winding roads beneath. We spend the night in Boumalene Dades- full of castles, kasbahs and adobe buildings. Night In Dades Valley.
After breakfast in the riad, we will pass throguh the Valley of Roses, Skoura, and Ouarzazate studios. We will explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Beehaddou during a private and guided excursion usually off the beaten path.
This interesting setting has been used in more films than any other location in Morocco. Afterwards, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech.
Overnight in a riad, dinner included.
After breakfast, drive to the charming coastal town of Essaouira, a UNESCO-listed city famous for its historic ramparts, sandy beaches, and relaxed atmosphere. Stroll hand in hand through the picturesque medina, browse local artisan shops, and enjoy the fresh sea breeze.
Visit the lively fishing port, where you can choose freshly caught seafood and have it grilled at a local restaurant. End the day by watching a spectacular sunset over the Atlantic Ocean before spending the night in a beautiful riad in the heart of the medina, with breakfast included.
Today we will have free morning in Essaouira to explore the city, in the afternoon we will drive to Marrakesh where we will spend the night.
We drive you back to Marrakesh (or Casablanca) to the Airport. Give a warm goodbye to your guide and driver and treasure your romantic honeymoon in Morocco, with a promise to return to the mother of Africa to celebrate your one year anniversary.
