Day 1 : Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga – Camel Ride & Luxury Desert Camp
After breakfast, your journey begins with a drive from Fes toward the Sahara Desert. Along the way, pass through the charming town of Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” before reaching the cedar forests of Azrou, home to the famous Barbary macaques. Here, you’ll have time to take photos and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings.
Next, continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains while admiring breathtaking landscapes and traditional Berber villages. Stop for lunch in the village of Zaida before traveling through Midelt, Rich, and Erfoud, where you’ll notice the scenery gradually changing into the lush oasis of Tafilalet.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, meet your camel caravan and begin an unforgettable ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Pause to admire the spectacular sunset, capture memorable photos, and try sandboarding on the highest dunes. Finally, continue to your luxury desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and an overnight stay in a private luxury tent beneath the stars.
Day 2 : Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Wake up early to witness the magical sunrise over the Sahara Desert. After breakfast and a refreshing shower at the camp, return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 vehicle, depending on your preference.
Then, begin your journey toward the beautiful Dades Valley. Along the way, visit the traditional market town of Rissani, pass through Erfoud, and continue to the spectacular Todra Gorge, where towering canyon walls reach over 300 meters high. Enjoy a relaxing walk through the gorge before continuing to Boumalne Dades. In the evening, check into your charming hotel, where dinner and breakfast are included.
Day 3 : Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
After breakfast, take a short walk through the stunning Dades Gorge before continuing along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Travel through the beautiful Valley of Roses and the Skoura Oasis, known for its impressive palm groves and historic kasbahs.
Next, visit Ouarzazate before stopping for lunch near the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou. Afterward, explore this remarkable fortified village, which has appeared in famous films and TV series such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Game of Thrones.
Finally, cross the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains while enjoying panoramic views. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, where your unforgettable Sahara Desert adventure comes to an end.
