Day 1 : Marrakech – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Begin your journey by crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), where you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views.

Next, visit the traditional Berber village of Telouet before continuing to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou. This remarkable fortified village is one of Morocco’s most famous landmarks and has appeared in many international films.

After lunch in Ait Ben Haddou or Ouarzazate, continue through the beautiful landscapes of southern Morocco toward the Dades Valley. Finally, arrive at your charming riad or hotel in the Dades Gorges, where dinner and breakfast are included.

Day 2 : Dades Valley – Tinghir – Todra Gorge – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

After breakfast, leave the Dades Valley and travel toward the spectacular Todra Gorge. Along the way, pass through Tinghir and enjoy a short walk beneath the impressive canyon walls.

Afterward, continue through the towns of Tinjdad, Jorf, Erfoud, and Rissani, where you’ll notice the landscape gradually changing into the lush oasis of Tafilalet. Finally, arrive in Merzouga and check into your riad or hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3 : Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Nomad Families – Khamlia – Desert Camp

After a hearty breakfast, begin an exciting exploration of the Erg Chebbi dunes, the largest sand dunes in Morocco. First, visit the oasis of Tissardmine before meeting local nomad families and learning about their traditional desert lifestyle.

Next, stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the magnificent dunes of Erg Chebbi. Then, continue to the village of Khamlia, where you’ll enjoy a cup of traditional mint tea while listening to the famous Gnawa music performed by local musicians.

Later, return to Merzouga for lunch before meeting your camel caravan. Ride across the golden dunes for about an hour until you reach your traditional desert camp. Finally, climb one of the highest dunes to watch the sunset before enjoying a delicious Moroccan dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and an unforgettable night beneath the stars.

Day 4 : Merzouga – Erfoud – Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Midelt

Wake up early to admire the spectacular sunrise over the Sahara Desert before enjoying breakfast. Then, leave Merzouga and travel toward Midelt.

Along the way, pass through Erfoud and Errachidia before stopping to admire the breathtaking views of the Ziz Valley, one of Morocco’s most beautiful palm oases. Continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains before arriving in Midelt, a peaceful mountain town located at an elevation of about 1,500 meters.

Dinner and an overnight stay are included at your hotel in Midelt or the surrounding area.

Day 5 : Midelt – Zaida – Timahdite – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes

After breakfast, continue your journey toward Fes through the villages of Zaida and Timahdite. Next, stop in the cedar forests of Azrou, where you’ll have the opportunity to see the famous Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.

Before reaching Fes, visit the charming town of Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its clean streets, alpine-style architecture, and beautiful parks.

Finally, arrive in Fes, where your unforgettable desert adventure comes to an end.
