Day 1 : Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

Your private driver will pick you up from your riad or hotel in Fes at around 8:00 a.m. and begin the journey south toward the Sahara Desert.

Travel through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane, a charming mountain town known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” before continuing to Azrou, famous for its cedar forests and wild Barbary macaques.

Continue to Midelt, where you’ll have time for lunch before driving through the dramatic landscapes toward Errachidia. Along the way, enjoy views of the Ziz Valley before continuing through Erfoud and Rissani toward Merzouga.

Upon arrival in the Merzouga area, you’ll begin your camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy the changing colors of the Sahara as the sun sets over the dunes before arriving at your desert camp.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, Berber music, and a memorable night in the Sahara Desert under the stars.

Day 2 : Merzouga 4×4 Desert Safari – Nomads – Khamlia – Black Desert

Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After sunrise, return by camel to Merzouga, where you’ll have breakfast and time to freshen up at your hotel.

Later, set out on a private 4×4 desert excursion to explore the landscapes and villages surrounding the Erg Chebbi dunes. Visit local villages such as Hassi Labied, Merdani, and Khamlia, and discover the unique culture and traditions of the region.

In Khamlia village, known for its Gnawa musical heritage, enjoy a cup of traditional Moroccan tea while listening to authentic Gnawa music performed by local musicians.

Continue through the desert to enjoy panoramic views of the golden dunes and the surrounding landscapes. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet a nomad family living in a traditional Berber tent and learn about their way of life, traditions, and daily activities while sharing a cup of tea.

Continue your 4×4 adventure through the unique black volcanic desert landscape before stopping near Yasmina Lake for panoramic views of the dunes and, when water is present, the seasonal lake.

After exploring the Merzouga desert, return to your hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 3 : Merzouga – Erfoud – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes

After breakfast at your hotel in Merzouga, begin the journey back to Fes.

Travel through Erfoud, known for its fossils and fossil workshops, before continuing through the scenic Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas Mountains.

Stop in Midelt and Zaida, where you can enjoy the changing landscapes and traditional villages of the region.

Continue to Azrou, where you’ll have the opportunity to see the wild Barbary macaques in the cedar forest. Then drive through Ifrane, the charming mountain town known for its alpine-style architecture.

Continue the journey toward Fes, arriving in the afternoon or early evening, depending on road and traffic conditions.
